We sure do love summertime! Nothing beats spending time in the sunshine at the lake, or the beach, or just out for a bike ride, and we have definitely been doing a lot of that. But we have also been hard at work travelling across the country training schools on how to use NaviGate Prepared in order to enhance their emergency preparedness. We loved seeing so many dedicated administrators, teachers, and first responders ditch the beach for the classroom for some great training on Navigate Prepared – even if it was just an excuse to be in the air conditioning!
3 Members of our team – Dan Leakey, Chris Porter, and Shonnie Gillmer – did an awesome training series throughout New York. Now not only are these staff members equipped to effectively utilize NaviGate Prepared within their schools, but going forward, they are able to flip the role and become the trainers themselves and train other staff in their districts on how to use NaviGate Prepared.
The trainings went in depth on everything from User Setup all the way to utilizing Respond and Reunification.
Let’s look at some of the fun they had!
The team made quite a few stops on their trip! They did trainings at Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES, Greater Southern Tier BOCES, Oneida Hermiker Madison BOCES, Onondoga Cortland Madison BOCES, Spencer Van Etten School District, Fulton School District, and Moravia School District. Wow!
Dan walked a crew at GST BOCES through Virtual Binders. Virtual Binders allow you to have a centralized place for all of your essential information including Safety Plans, and it ensures that everyone has access to the most updated version of information quickly and easily!
The fun didn’t end at Virtual Binders! Here you see Dan stopped on the NaviGate Prepared dashboard. He took the time to walk attendees through each module in order to get everyone familiar with all aspects of NaviGate Prepared so that they could utilize it best within their districts as well as train their staff on how to best use it.
Thanks to everyone who attended! On to more summer fun…
