Our team has been busy conducting threat assessment trainings throughout the country and it has been an honor to share the knowledge of school violence prevention with so many educators across the nation. “School violence is preventable, and the ability to prevent it is learnable,” states Eric Wittig, Threat Assessment Process Consultant. “With a foundation in evidence-based collaborative work completed by the United States Secret Service and Department of Education, Student Threat Assessment trainings offer an introduction to recognizing and managing dangerous behaviors within a school setting. After an overview of these concepts, attendees work through cases studies in the Threat Assessment software program, building confidence in their ability to apply student threat assessment in their own districts.
Let’s see what the team has been up to across the country!
