The Suicide Awareness and Prevention in the Workplace curriculum can be taken by any employee in a workplace for knowledge and resources on how to recognize, be aware of, and hopefully, help prevent suicide in both themselves and those around them. The content from these courses are compiled research and has been approved by mental health professional. These courses are awareness courses, for general understanding by employees on how to be aware of, and hopefully prevent, suicide from happening in those they work with and themselves.   

By the end of the courses, learners will:

  • Feel empowered to break down the stigma of mental health and talk openly about the impact of mental health on a daily basis at work and home.
  • Be more knowledgeable about risk factors that are common amongst adults in the United States that have potential to lead to suicide.
  • Describe how their companies can help them if they are struggling with their mental health.
  • Describe how suicide can affect those left behind and how to regain some sense of normalcy in the workplace.
