The first course in this curriculum, Adults and Mental Health talks about the importance of mental health in adults, specifically in regards to suicide prevention. Learners will hear Vanessa’s story about losing her job and having thoughts of suicide. They will learn stats and data about adults in the United States. They will learn how gender may affect mental health. They will also learn warning signs of potential mental illness. This course discusses depression specifically and warning signs of depression. The course ends with ways to reach out and help those who may be struggling.
