James is a retired 25-year law enforcement officer from the Albuquerque Police Department. As an officer, James worked in the areas of Uniformed Patrol and as a School Resource Officer. He was also a Detective in Narcotics Enforcement and Child Exploitation. James was also certified in Crisis Intervention (CIT), was an Intermediate Force Instructor, and is also a Certified Protection Specialist (CPS) and Certified Security Specialist (CSS). After police work, James is currently a Senior Risk Manager with Poms & Associates Insurance Brokerage and holds a designation as Associate in Risk Management (ARM). James specializes in the evaluation of Physical Security measures, Site Vulnerability Assessments, and Behavioral Threat Assessment. James also specializes in Critical Incident and Emergency Planning/Training for clients. James is an active member of ASIS International and the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals.
