Derek became a police Officer in July of 2000. He is currently work full time for the Georgetown MA Police Department. During his time of service, he has been a School Resource Officer, Detective and Sergeant. Derek has been an instructor and in charge of all the department’s trainings such as Active Shooter response, Defensive Tactics, Field Training, Firearms and TASER. Derek has been a National Adjunct Trainer instructing the Certified ALICE Instructor course with Navigate360 since 2010. He became a police officer because he is passionate about helping people in his community. Working for Navigate360 has allowed him to help people in endless communities across the country and he has enjoyed every minute!
