Stephen Layfield is a retired U.S. Army Major General with more than 30 years of senior leadership, training and command experience. He has held several operational commands and senior staff positions with multiple deployments and been awarded numerous military awards, including the Bronze Star. Additionally, he served as the director of the DoD’s most senior leader development and educational program. Upon retirement from the Army in 2011, he founded S.R. Layfield Associates LLC. He is a member of The Spectrum Group, consulting firm, a faculty member on the Thayer Leader Development Group, a member of Advantage Factory LLC, and co-founder of Cyber Ops Alliance. He also serves on the advisory board of “Guitars for Vets”, a nonprofit dedicated to the healing of veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder.
