Adam Efird

Director of Professional Development

Adam Efird is an experienced educator and school leader with over a decade of service in North Carolina’s public schools. Born and raised in rural NC, Adam has dedicated his career to supporting students, educators, and school communities through a variety of roles. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education, a Master of Arts in Education with a focus on Professional School Counseling, and a Master of School Administration (M.S.A.).

Throughout his career, Adam has served as a music teacher, reading teacher, and in various student services support positions, including Principal Designee, counseling, and District PBIS Trainer. His passion for fostering positive school environments has led him to become a leader in implementing and training on evidence-based practices like PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports), Restorative Practices, Mental Health & Prevention, Trauma-Informed Practices, Resiliency, and Character Education.

Over the past 5 years, he expanded his expertise into educational technology, serving as a Professional Development Coach, Lead PD Coach, and now the Director of Professional Development for Navigate360. In this capacity, he has built and delivered content and provided critical support for the implementation and rollout of tools like PBIS Rewards and Compass Curriculum to campuses and districts across the country and internationally. His work has been instrumental in supporting schools with integrating technology to enhance educational outcomes while also fostering a culture of growth and resilience. Adam continues to be an advocate for creating positive school cultures and ensuring that every student has the support they need to succeed.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Adam is a proud father of a high school student in NC and remains deeply connected to his community and the challenges facing rural schools today.
